Get checked…

This is my first blog I’ve done in quite some time and let me tell you why. Back in March, I was diagnosed with DCIS, which is a noninvasive breast cancer (stage 0). Since then, between appointments, two surgeries, Rona and well, LIFE, I took a hiatus from this blog. I cannot urge you Village Mamas enough to go get yourself checked. Me noticing something so small, something that I could’ve easily overlooked is what saved me. And mind you, other than fibroids, I’m in pretty good health. I’m not allergic to anything nor do I take meds. 3 years ago I took a plunge and changed my lifestyle by eating cleaner and exercising. Lost 35lbs. So it doesn’t matter. It can happen, and it’s always best to take those precautions. Please go get checked…

This blog is going to get a minor overhaul. I’m noticing a serious shift in education and I definitely want to be able to provide resources for you so you can best educate your children. Now that I am on the mend, I will be doing a story time starting sometime in August. Storytime will include a story, questions, vocabulary and an activity. Be on the lookout for that! Also, you will not see worksheets anymore when I post my blogs. I will provide worksheets, activities, etc. after Storytime on that page. And as always, if you have anything that you want me to cover, please provide feedback, and I will try my best to get you what you’re asking for. Stay safe, Village Mamas!

I'm a former early childhood classroom teacher now stay at home mom. I taught for 14 years and enjoyed every minute of it! A career and location change has led me to this path of wanting to help others make sure their children are off to a great start in their development!
